This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

How far along? 31 weeks. 9 more weeks till the due date!
Total weight gain: What?
Maternity clothes? Is this question even necessary anymore?
Stretch Marks: Got a couple small ones (new) on my hips and a couple that are sprouting at the very bottom of my belly, disguised as veins.
Sleep: I'm back to hating sleep. HATING IT!
Best moment this week: I love all her little acrobatic movements! That's always the best part!
Movement: She likes to stick her little butt up against the right side of my belly which leaves a very obvious lump and if you touch it, you can feel her. It's so cute!!
Gender: She has lady bits.
Labor Signs? Not yet. Some cramping and lots of pain in my bones.
Belly Button in or out? It's starting to come out a little more. The sides of it feel "fatter" or swollen or something. It's weird.

What I miss: I really miss not being in pain all the time. My hips and ligaments just ache and ache.
What I am looking forward to: The 3D ultrasound on the 11th. I can't wait to see what she looks like. And the BCS Championship game.
Weekly Wisdom: I have no wisdom. I'm a zombie again.

That's exactly where all of my stretch marks are. I've also had a few sneaky ones pop up on the underside of my belly in the past week. I thought, at first, that they were lines from my pants digging in but alas... They are stretch marks.
ReplyDeleteYou have an adorable belly!
Exciting progress! Love your 2010 goals, too!
ReplyDeleteNatalie: I've got the ones under my belly sprouting too. If stretchies are what I need to be a mommy, I'm cool with it! ( :
ReplyDeleteShonda: When are you going to have some progress to report on???
