Behold the "see-through" pregnant lady picture at 29 weeks!
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain: You shut your filthy mouth.Maternity clothes? Yes, and I've discovered that some of my flowy, pre-pregnancy tops still fit and they look cute!
Stretch Marks: So I had 3 forming and now 1 has somehow disappeared so I'm down to 2! ::High Five::
Sleep: OMG, my hips are going through a "growth/spreading" spurt. The propped pillows are no longer working and I wake up in excrutiating pain no matter what side I'm laying on.
Best moment this week: My mom getting here and being able to go to my OB appointment today. Plus she bought Hunter a ton of stuff I'm going to need when she arrives.
Movement: She has graduated from kicks to gymnastics. She moves body parts now, like arms and legs, not just little kicks.
Gender: Baby Girl!
Labor Signs? If I spend too much time on my feet I start getting cramps in my uterus. I don't think they are contractions but I guess I could be wrong.
Belly Button in or out? Still in but my mom agreed it looks like an old vagina.
What I miss: Being able to breathe. It's even harder since I can't breathe through my nose, so when I talk and eat I have to hold my breath and then I start gasping for air like I just finished running. It's really pathetic.
What I am looking forward to: Pedicures on wednesday for my birthday! The vietnamese lady who does them has a reputation for putting full-term pregnant women into labor. Should be an interesting day.
Weekly Wisdom: Eat healthier. I hate myself for having to say that.
Milestones: Like this year, this week is the last week in the 20's. 29 weeks, 29 years old.
Don't pay attention to the dirty house. We've been wrapping presents.
So today, along with my weekly pregnancy update, I also have an appointment update. Today I had another OB appointment with Dr. L. My mom got to come and she snapped some pictures to put in my baby book (which I don't even have yet).
We found out some interesting information at this appointment.
1. "Your weight is a bit much" (Dr. L's words exactly). He said his only concern is being able to get it off after the baby is born. Whatevs.
2. My glucose results were 88 which means I have NO chance of even getting gestational diabetes, which is good!
3. I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead! Did you catch that???? 3 weeks ahead!! My belly is the size of a 32 weeker. I asked him if he was going to move my due date and he said "No, you're still 29 weeks, you're just going to have a big baby".
4. After feeling around my belly he estimates that she currently weighs between 3 and 4 pounds. Uhhh the average baby at this stage in pregnancy weighs 2 1/2 pounds. I said "Isn't that kinda big for right now?" and he said "Yes".
Me measuring 3 weeks ahead
6. Also, the heart rate was between 140-150. My mom got to hear her heart beating for the first time.
Checking the heart rate
7. The last bit of news is that now I start going every 2 weeks!! It's getting so close! I can't believe it!!

Your belly is too cute.
