Appointment Time

So today I had my 4th ultrasound which was a follow up of my anatomy ultrasound last month. We are still having a little girl, which I am very relieved to hear since her bedding came in the other day! (SO MUCH MORE ADORABLE IN PERSON). Now.....my husband knows all about it, but I don't think I've mentioned it on here before, but I really detest the ultrasound tech that my doctor's office employs. She always gives me the WORST pictures and she never lets me just look at my baby for a second. She's just rapidly moving that wand across my ENTIRE belly. Sometimes I think I get a glimpse of my little girl and then swwwooooooooosh, off to another location.....it's SO aggravating! Can't she just hold it there for a sec and let me watch her move??!

You won't believe what happened today! Her phone rang in the middle of my ultrasound. She reached into her pocket to silence it.....or so I thought. She says "Just a second, my son is calling". She answered her phone during my ultrasound and sat there and talked to her son while I laid there with jelly on my belly. I thought..."Okay, I can deal with this, it will be just a second and then we will get back to my ultrasound". As she's talking to her son, she starts wiping off the wand and clicks OFF the ultrasound screen! I wanted to scream at her!! Are you kidding? I mean she already KNOWS her son, she won't let me look at my baby and then she cuts my appointment short. I couldn't believe it. Uggghhhh whatever.

So once again, my little girl is measuring a little bigger. Last appointment she was measuring 3 days farther along and this time she's measuring 5 days. Hmmmm....I talked about it with my doctor and he said that she is a little bigger, but nothing to be concerned with yet. I told him how much I weighed when I was born and he suggested doing the glucose test a little early. Instead of waiting until my next appointment in December, I have to do it next week. My mom was tested for gestational diabetes and even though I was 11 lbs., she didn't have it. I don't think I do either, but better to be safe than sorry. I told you this girl was big!! Pictures to come soon!

  1. Sorry for the frustration, but it sounds like everything is coming along really well!

  2. Is there any way you could request a different ultrasound tech? That's really rude of her to do. =/
