26 Weeks!

Now I really don't think the cucumber does this little girl any justice! So I am also going to include another picture that I think is more accurate and that way you aren't picturing a little cucumber floating around in my uterus.

Ok, that's more like it. I think Hunter has her back against my back though because when she kicks, you can see it in my belly and it is NO JOKE! But I love it!!! Okay, on to the weekly update....

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.

How far along? 26 weeks! That's right, I have been pregnant for 1/2 a year and 1/2 a month now.
Total weight gain: 43 pounds! Oh snap!! I didn't gain any weight during Thanksgiving!! Beat that!!!
Maternity clothes? More like jammies.
Stretch Marks: Nope ::knocks on wood::
Sleep: It's actually starting to get better now that I've been sleeping on my back more.
Best moment this week: Josh FINALLY got to see Hunter moving my belly!
Movement: Josh gets to feel her kicking regularly!
Gender: Baby Girl!
Labor Signs? None......
Belly Button in or out? In. It's a miracle really.
What I miss: I'm pretty accustomed to being pregnant now. I still miss wine and getting up without pain and assistance.
What I am looking forward to: My birthday and Christmas season! My favorite time of year!!
Weekly Wisdom: Let Charlie (new puppy) outside and make him stay out for a while otherwise he will take a horse size dump in my bedroom.
Milestones: I started walking! About time.
